Thinking about it I haven't fininhed many projects, although I have lots of ideas, and lots of components... Here's a few things I've done or am thinking about, also some thoughts on tweaks.
HiFi rack   I did design a Hi-Fi rack, and got a blacksmith (Sandhurst Forge) to make it up for me. Basically it's a frame of 0.5" in square section, used with wood shelves. I put three screws through the top shelf to act as spikes for the turntable. Initially it was painted in pink Hammerite! See the HiFi Gallery page.
Then it was used to put the Christmas tree on, and painted black....
Now it's used by my daughter for her TV/Video and HiFi, and is silver.

Cables   I've used a varity of speaker cables, from bell wire in the beginning, through various types of (cheap) multi stranded cable, 42/79 strand from QED, and hand twisted 56 strand from RS components.
For a long time I used lighting twin-core & earth (solid core), which I thought sounded pretty good, and is easy to lay.
At the moment I'm back to multi strand, but I need to get some decent cables.

Sub-Woofer   I want one, and will probably build it myself. I fancy an upright triangle, or hexagon, should be interesting working out the volume.
Switch box   I've run out of inputs on the amp, as I'm using an external phono stage the phono input is plugged into the MD input. What I want is a selector between the outputs of the X-LP and X-DAC, and the amp. Possibly with some attenuation built in to allow level matching.
Using attenuation is inspired by the Russ Andrews literature, visit the site for some very interesting ideas.
